Not too much going on...

But I'll give you a little recap of a few things.

We went to see the Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs play on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago.  They've had a 30-0 season and are SEC champs.  We are looking forward to them going to the championship games.  It was an exciting game and so fun to be at the Hump!

There were just a few people there!  Some people had been waiting in line for hours!  We had the cheap seats ($5) which were first come/first serve.  We still had pretty good seats.  They opened the doors an hour and a half before tipoff.

The seats with the pink pom-poms are the reserved seats.  It was a breast cancer awareness game and the Lady Bulldogs were dressed in pink uniforms.  That was kind of strange.

Here's our group, minus Sharon.  Jack drove Alice Faye's new mini van so we could all go together.  We knew the people behind us, that's why they are posing too.

Cameron had his last basketball game on Saturday morning.  They came away with a really good season too.  They have a female coach, who is really a good coach, but she couldn't be there at the start of the game so Ben was the coach.

They always have a devotion at halftime.  The other coach is the pastor of the church we were playing so he did the devotional.

Here's the team.  One of the boys is 6' tall and is our star rebounder!

Here's Cam and Coach after the game.

They had to leave after the game and go directly to a baseball cookout.  They go from one sport to the next!

We've had a lot of rain here recently and some gorgeous warm days.  Things are popping out all over.

The clematis is getting green and lots of buds on it.

The Bradford pear tree is bloomed out too.

I know it's not spring and I sure hope we don't get a really cold spell or freezing temp that kills the buds!!  It's cold one day and warm the next!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you are having a great Valentine's Day!  It's a cold and gray day here but we have no plans so it's nice to just be inside.

We celebrated Sam's 17th birthday last night with steaks at Heather's house.  His birthday is actually today.  He doesn't like a lot of attention and certainly doesn't like pictures so this is the only one we got, taken by his aunt Laura.

His request was for a caramel cake which is white cake with caramel frosting.  It's so good!

We got our wrist bands for our Disney World trip next month.  Getting excited and I know the boys are too!

Heather sent me this picture of our future driver!  Her birthday isn't until June when she can get her permit but they were practicing on a church parking lot nearby.

It's a scary thought!

Happy birthday to my great nephew Ethan in Colorado Springs.  I know he's enjoying celebrations today!

Hope you all are having a sweet day!

Our trip to Orlando

Another week has gone by.  I am really having a hard time sitting down to blog!

I started a yoga class last Monday and went again today.  I'm not sure I'm going to like this or stick with it but we'll see.  Any of you had any yoga experience?

Harrison and Cameron both had the flu last week and were home from school all week.  Emma Taylor is sick this week.  It's really going around in the schools here.  Sure wish everyone could get well and stay well!  Thankfully Doug and I haven't gotten it.

We took a nice trip to Orlando in January.  We had a week at our condo and it was use it or lose it so off we went.  It was mostly a week of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather, which was just what we wanted after the hectic December.

The condo was really beautiful.

And the weather was so pleasant...in the 70s every day.

We spent one day at the Mecum Auction.  Before you get real excited, it's a car auction and we were just lookers!

Lots and lots of old cars.  Doug kinda liked this one.

Also some very unusual cars.

I don't even know what it is!

There were food trucks set up under a huge tent.

Even a crepe truck!  I had one for dessert.

We spent another day at Disney Springs.  It's part of Disney but doesn't cost anything to get in.  It's mostly shops and restaurants.

We decided on a burger for lunch.

It was huge.  We should have split it!

We saw a bunch of these Minnie Mouse cards in the parking lot as we left.

I think it would be fun to drive around in one of those!

Another day we drove around the town of Celebration.  It's a master-planned community not far from Disney World.  I loved the beautiful homes that lined the streets and the unusual architecture in the downtown area.

This used to be an old movie theater but is now offices and an ice cream parlor.  Very art deco.

We had dinner in Celebration that evening at a restaurant that was recommended to us.

We split a seafood platter which was delicious!

Then we walked to a little bakery and got one macaroon.

I love those things!

We were looking for a good breakfast place one morning and I came across Holler and Dash.  The name itself was intriguing!

It was not what we expected, but these biscuit beignets were so good with a coffee dipping sauce.  Holy cow!

I guess it looks like we did a lot of eating that week!
