School Supplies!

I can't believe that summer is almost over and school will be starting August 3rd, like in just a couple of weeks!

Cameron and I went shopping for school supplies yesterday.  The list seemed a bit shorter this year, though still plenty of stuff to buy!

Cameron was a big help loading the groceries.

After lunch we went to see The Secret Life of Pets.

We both thought it was pretty cute!

Hayden's 10th birthday was yesterday.

We don't get to see him very often but thankfully we got to spend some time with him and his family a couple of weeks ago.  Hard to believe he's in double digits now!

Welcome Darby Lynn!

We got home from Illinois about noon yesterday.  I have a lot of catching up to do!

My great niece, Darby Lynn, was born on Friday, July 15th, while I was gone.  Heather was in touch by texts letting me know what was going on.  Kaydee had a cesarean section.

The sisters were all there to welcome her into the world!  This was just before the surgery.

8 lbs. 9 oz. of pure cuteness and sweetness!  Gigi is so proud!  Would you look at those cheeks!!

And she already has a LOT more monogrammed clothes than anyone I know!

Luke has been such a good big brother so far, but they are coming home today so we will see how he likes her then!

This picture cracked me up and I imagine this is how he reacted when he was told that Darby was moving into their house permanently!

I can hardly wait to go over to see them and get my hands on that new baby!

Ben and Cam "do" Nashville!

Just before the 4th of July Ben and Cameron flew to Nashville for a little guys getaway.  Cameron had never flown and it's something he had been wanting to do.  The small airline that recently came to Tupelo was offering $49 airfares so it was an opportune time to fly.  This was what Cameron requested for his birthday instead of a party.

They had a great time at the zoo!

They enjoyed fun dinners and walking around Music Row.

These two are buddies and they had a wonderful time together!  They are so fortunate to have each other!

I'm back!

The boys and I got back from Illinois about 7:30 last night.  Tired and glad to be home but remembering all the fun we shared with family!  I'll post on that later.

Our friends' grandson Jordon went home to be with the Lord on Friday while we were gone.

Jordon had leukemia and fought a brave battle.  He was gifted into the most loving and precious family for his four short years on this earth. I wish you could see a video that was posted on Facebook of him dancing, the way he should be remembered.  He was a spunky kid and so full of life.  Our hearts are heavy and we will be returning to Illinois on Thursday for his services.  Please continue to keep these families in your prayers.

Another prayer request...my niece will be having her baby Darby Lynn on Friday by Cesarean section.  I will miss the birth but you can bet I'll be over there to see the baby as soon as I get back from Illinois.

Praying that all goes well!!  Heather will be there and has promised to text me pictures as soon as Darby is born!  I'm anxious to see that sweet face!

Blessings to all of you!

More Circus!

Just a few more pictures of the fun circus party for Luke!

There was a delicious hot dog and nacho bar set up.

There was everything you could possibly want to put on a hot dog!

And drinks!

Time for cake after lunch!

Clown nose is appropriate!

Blowing out the candle.

Family pictures.

Opening presents.

Just one of the many, many presents he got!  Everything was superhero!

He got this gator from his mom and dad and Gigi and Papa.

Fun with birthday props!

That's Cameron in the middle with Jake and Ty.

Carolyn and Kathy.

Courtney and Luke.  Courtney got her bangs cut and it doesn't even look like her anymore!

Jake, Cameron and Ty.

Everybody had a "ball!"

I am leaving tomorrow morning with Cameron and Harrison and driving to Antioch.  Heather, Randy and Emma Taylor will be driving up on Friday.  Prayers for safe travels would be appreciated!

We plan to take the kids to Six Flags and to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.  They are so excited about the trip and so am I.  Amy and Lisa and their families are at Pat's house so all the cousins will be spending time together.  Fun times and good memories...I hope!
