We drove to Tennessee and had a big breakfast.
Then on to Kentucky.
Beautiful country in Kentucky.
Lots of beautiful farms and black barns for drying tobacco.
We made a stop in Bowling Green so Doug could show me where the race track is, though the gates were closed and we couldn't see much. The entrance was a pretty drive. Kentucky is big on black fences too.
I especially loved the barns with the barn quilts.
Then on to West Virginia.
Crossed the Ohio River and spent the night in South Point, OH.
Lots of driving but we saw a lot of beautiful country in several states!
Where we stayed in Ohio was just across the river from Huntington, WV. It's a neat college town, home of Marshall University, so the downtown is loaded with restaurants and shopping. We had dinner downtown, then walked around a bit. Tired from the long day of driving/riding so we called it a night.
