We had breakfast again at the hotel in Key West. We just loved sitting outside with our coffee, muffins, croissants, yogurt and bagels!
After breakfast, the ladies took a short walk to the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory.
So many beautiful butterflies.
A couple of flamingos named Scarlett and Rhett. They must have been mating because they were making an awful racket!
Beautiful foliage.
It was a great relaxing stop!
The guys picked us up and we headed to the southern most point in the United States, 90 miles from Cuba. We had to have our picture taken at the southern most point's most famous buoy!
Once again it was a beautiful warm day!
We made a stop at the Key West Lighthouse.
We all opted not to walk up the 200+ steps to the top!
We then took a drive along the beach and photographed the old cars there.
It's beautiful along the beach but watch out for stingrays!
We drove back up the keys and stopped for lunch in Cudjoe Key at the Square Grouper Bar and Grill.
We continued to drive through the Keys.
And arrived in Marathon Key mid-afternoon and relaxed by the pool with drinks until time for dinner.
The restaurant for dinner was right next to the hotel so an easy walk.
It was a cool place with a guy playing the steel drums and singing for entertainment.
The shrimp and creamed spinach was delicious! We topped it off with key lime pie!
When you're in the Keys you have to have key lime pie, right?
