It's Friday!

It's Friday and tomorrow is a most anticipated day of the year!

SEC football kicks off tomorrow!  Can I get a "Go Dawgs?"  Some of my family are Alabama fans so they probably won't!

Just throwing this in...Emma Taylor and her friend Lexie ready for dance class.

Two cuties!

Have a great holiday weekend!

Miscellaneous

I had lunch with Cameron last Friday.  He still likes me to come and eat with him and I better enjoy it as I suspect this may be the last year for it!

It was pizza day and they actually have pretty good pizza!

I snapped this cute picture of Heather and Emma Taylor after church on Sunday.  Harrison had already changed out of his church clothes.

Love their colorful dresses!  Emma Taylor is almost as tall as Heather and I think wears the same size shoe!

I was very saddened to hear about the killing of the police officer in Fox Lake yesterday.  That's right around the corner from where my sister lives.  It's also where we caught the commuter train when we went to Chicago in June.  I just wonder when this violence will stop!  I'm sending prayers for the family.

Ladies Night Out!

Happy first day of September!  The days are already cooler and it feels so good!  Out come the fall decorations today!

As I mentioned, I was invited to the ladies night out at church on Saturday evening.  Every year different ladies take a table and decorate it for the evening and invite friends to join them.  The tables were beautiful and I enjoyed walking around and looking at each one.

This was the table where I sat.  My friend took the bottle trees out of her yard and all the greenery and moss was from her yard as well.  Her husband cut all the wood chargers under the plates and for the tea light holders.

It was one of my favorite tables!

Here are a few more.

Young girls sat at this table decorated with cupcakes and candy!

Some were more elegant and some more rustic, but all were beautiful!

There was a Christmas table...why not?  It's not that far away!

After dinner of beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls, we had homemade cakes.  Delicious!

The program was a woman dressed in period costume of the woman at Jacob's well.  She did a fabulous job acting out the story.  It was a fun evening and a great message as well!

A Brand New Blog!

I'm closing down the old blog and starting a new one today. I appreciate you all hanging in there with me while I've made this transition.

Our weekend was fun. We celebrated Harold Kennedy's birthday on Friday night with a group from Zion who were down for a funeral. Saturday was Cameron's 9:00 a.m. football game in Caledonia, about an hour and fifteen minutes south of here.  Friends Danny and Diane live there and they invited us for lunch. Ben and Cameron came too. Danny cooked some delicious burgers on the grill!

Saturday I was invited to a ladies night at the church. I'll post about that tomorrow as it was a very fun evening.

I hope to be back on a regular schedule of posting soon. It all depends on what's going on!
