I'm a little behind on my birthday wishes and we had some pretty important ones!
My sister Carolyn celebrated her 70-something birthday.
Carolyn has a family get together once a month to celebrate all the birthdays that month. I'm sure her family enjoys it and it sure keeps her family together!
We celebrated Heather's 40-something birthday on Saturday. I took her to lunch at the Grill.
Sunday was actually her birthday so she and Randy celebrated then.
May is such a beautiful time for a birthday and these two are very special people to celebrate!
Cameron spent the night with me on Saturday night. Doug was out of town so I was happy to have the company. He went to early church with me and then we went to Cracker Barrel for brunch.
He found an old fishing rod in Doug's shop and wanted to go fishing. I know nothing about fishing but he "thinks" he does! We couldn't find any bait so he suggested buying a package of hot dogs for bait. That's what we did and off we went to a small lake at Veterans Park.
It was a really hot day but I took a lawn chair and sat under a tree while he fished. He actually caught a fish but after getting it out of the water, it was fighting and broke the hook off and fell back in the water.
We went for a walk in the trails across from the park.
It was a really neat trail and quite a walk. We deserved some ice cream after that!
He still loves to drive the golf cart all over the neighborhood.
What a great investment that was!
He asked if he could spend Sunday night with me too. He was all done with school on Friday. Harrison had to go back on Monday to take one test. Cameron and I picked him up after the test and Harrison spent the rest of Monday with us.
I took them to Veterans Park to ride their scooters.
They scoot all over that park!
Harrison had a ballgame Tuesday night. He scored a run.
And made a great fly ball catch!
Here he is with his buddy Karson. They both just finished 6th grade at Saltillo.
I think it's going to be a busy summer! All the kids are out of school now and Heather is officially done for the school year too. Let the fun begin!
