A Quick Trip to Louisville, KY

Doug and I made a quick trip to Louisville on Wednesday.  Doug sold the Valiant to a guy in Indiana and Louisville was somewhat halfway to meet and deliver the car.

It's ready to head to its new home.

We left early in the morning and enjoyed the drive.  We drove through Tennessee and Kentucky.  Both are beautiful states.

I saw some barn quilts.

The quality of these pictures isn't very good but it's hard to capture them going 70+ miles an hour in most cases.  There were many more that turned out a complete blur!  I'm getting very good at spotting them along the way.  They turn up in most unexpected places!

I spotted this field of sunflowers right along the highway.  We would have stopped to get a better photo but it was on the interstate and it would have been a little dangerous.  I don't want to risk my life for a photo!

We drove by the Corvette Museum and manufacturing plant in Bowling Green but didn't stop.

The Museum looks like something from Star Wars of something...really weird!

Then on to Paris, TN to see the Eiffel Tower.

Doug says now I don't need to go to Paris, France to see the other one!  No way!!

An interesting day!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I was just watching an episode of Say Yes To The Dress....and it was Hank Williams, Jr.'s daughter. She got married in Paris, TN at their home in the front yard. They showed the house. Didn't know if you knew that Hank Williams Jr and his family lived there.
