We had breakfast at the hotel, then drove to the Henry Ford Museum where we caught the bus for the Ford Rouge Factory Tour. The campus of the Henry Ford Museum is fashioned after Independence Hall and is a beautiful campus.
It was about a 15 minute ride to the factory.
We saw a brief movie, then on to an observation area where we could see how huge the factory was.
This is where they make the F150 trucks. No photos were allowed on the tour but the tour was fascinating! I have never toured a factory like that and it just blew my mind how it all worked!
There were also old Fords displayed.
I loved those old Mustangs and Thunderbirds.
At the end of the tour we saw another movie with some pretty cool stuff in it!! Worth the trip just to see that!
We spent the afternoon at Greenfield Village. I'll post those pictures tomorrow.
